Past Trips
Missions is one of the most important parts of my life. Through my church, University Carillon, I've had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic twice to serve alongside Rick Sucher Ministries. Each trip has pushed me outside my comfort zone, grown my faith, and reminded me what it really means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

This was my first mission trip ever. We traveled to the Dominican Republic to serve in Sosúa, and specifically at Redemption Village, a community of about 3,000 people, most of them Haitian refugees. We ran VBS activities and children's feeding programs, shared the gospel, and painted a house inside and out that had been built by a previous mission team for a woman in need. It was one of the most eye-opening and humbling experiences of my life, and it completely changed how I see the world.

My second trip back to the Dominican Republic, and just as impactful as the first. We returned to Redemption Village to hang out with the kids and help with their Christmas program. Our team went to a toy store and cleared the shelves, giving out free toys to boys and girls of all ages. We also ran a food distribution, buying and packaging canned and dry food into 600 bags that were handed out to families across four different distribution sites. Going even deeper in serving the community and seeing familiar faces again was an incredible experience. Each trip I feel more called to keep going back and doing this work.
